It is the policy of the City of Euclid to seek and employ the best qualified individuals for all positions; to provide equal opportunity for the advancement of employees, including upgrading promotion and training; and to administer these activities in a manner which will not discriminate against any person because of race religion, sex, age, disability, color or national origin.
On November 15, 2012 the City of Euclid instituted a “Tobacco Free Workplace” initiative at all city facilities and properties. This policy extends the State of Ohio Code prohibitions.
The goal of the “Tobacco Free Workplace” policy is to create a healthier workplace environment, improve the health of employees, and reduce costs in our health care plans by eliminating the use of tobacco. It is also the goal of the City of Euclid to continue to encourage and assist employees and their family members in stopping the use of tobacco.
