Job Title: Van Driver - Community Services
Status: A. Classified. B. Nonexempt - FLSA.
Responsible for transporting Euclid Senior Citizens to nutrition sites, medical appointments and to shopping centers and delivers meals to homebound participants. Works under the immediate supervision of the Program Manager or designee.
- Drive City vans and autos; operate a wheelchair lift.
- Transport Seniors to various approved sites as needed.
- Deliver meals to the homebound.
- Report any significant changes in Senior's behavior, health or personality.
- Maintain cleanliness of van; report malfunctions or damages
- Perform other related duties as required.

Light work: (exerting up to 25 lbs of force occasionally). Indoor/outdoor. Physical Activity: climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping.
High School graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to: express or exchange ideas and instructions accurately and clearly. See note below regarding additional requirements.

Part Time: 29 hours per week
This position is part of the City’s grant-funded programs: additional requirements include post-offer, pre-hire drug testing, medical certification of ability to drive, and criminal background checks. Drivers are also required to pass CPR, First Aid, Driver’s Training and other programs as required by grant agencies.
