This Advertisement for Bids document is for use on public projects in conjunction with AIA Document A701, "Instructions to Bidders." Coordinate content with the Instructions to Bidders.

Sealed bids will be received from qualified bidders by the City of Euclid, 585 E. 222nd Street, Euclid, Ohio on or before April 23, 2018, at 2:00 PM EDT for the Euclid Phase IV(C)-1 Shoreline Improvements Project in the City of Euclid, Ohio. Bids will be opened and read publicly at the Board of Control Meeting at 4:00 PM on April 23, 2018.

The Project includes Phase I of a two-phase project to construct a 10 to 16-foot wide lakefront trail, coastal protective structures, bluff stabilization measures, and associated work including retaining walls, drainage features, site amenities and site restoration. Phase I includes approximately 1,800 feet of the ultimate 3,100 foot trail.

Plans and Specifications may be obtained from Northeast Blueprint, 1230 E 286th St, Cleveland, OH 44132, 216-261-7500 via the Northeast Blueprint Plan Room ( after March 26, 2018. Only complete sets of documents will be issued. Online access will be provided to all registered bidders and suppliers.

Each bid must be presented in a sealed envelope marked: “EUCLID, PHASE IV(C)-1 SHORELINE IMPROVEMENTS.” bids must be ACCOMPANIED BY A Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities that may occur in the bidding process. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.

Pursuant to Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code, prevailing wages will apply to this project.

There will be a pre-bid conference on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the Henn Mansion, 23131 Lake Shore Blvd, Euclid, Ohio. Bidders are encouraged to attend.
