Curbside Recycling

The City has a new solid waste contract that is much different than in past years. The contract is based more on the tons of trash collected and taken to the land fill rather than a flat per household fee which had been previously charged. A savings occurs since less actual trash needs to be taken to a landfill.
The City has also entered into a five year agreement with a consortium of local communities and Kimble Transfer and Recycling Co. to accept our materials, and each of these communities will actually share in the revenue being generated by the sale of these materials. What this means for the city is that recycling will pay for itself. When using these mixed use containers, you do not need to sort or bundle items.
City employees are dropping off a yellow 18 gallon container to each residence. Attached will be a flyer with additional information.
It's easy, simply fill the container with the following, and place curbside each week on your regular trash day.

Replacement and/or additional recycling bins will be available for purchase at Euclid City Hall.
The cost per bin will be $5.00.

Please mark you name and address on your bin with a permanent marker.
