Rain Barrel Workshop & Sale

Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) and the City of Euclid will be hosting a Rain Barrel Workshop and Sale with the Friends of Euclid Creek on Saturday, April 10th, 2010.  Put together a rain barrel at the workshop from 10:00am-11:30am (cost is $60) or pick up your pre-ordered rain barrel between 10:00am-1:00pm (cost starts at $85, not including accessories) at the Euclid Historical Society.  A rain barrel is a container used to collect and store rainwater that would otherwise be lost to runoff and likely diverted to a storm drain. Collected water may then be used to water lawns and gardens.  To register for the workshop (registration is required and is open to Euclid residents on March 8, and open to the public March 15), contact the Euclid Creek Watershed Coordinator at 216-524-6580x16 or cposius@cuyahogaswcd.org.  To order your assembled rain barrel (orders required by March 29) contact Euclid Ward 4 Councilwoman, Mary Jo Minarik, at 216-486-9513 or listresources@netlink.net.
