POLICE OFFICER LATERAL ENTRY

The City of Euclid Police Department is accepting applications and resumes for the position of police officer, lateral entry, with a salary range of $56,521 - $63,976, plus excellent benefits, including proficiency bonus of $7,200, uniform allowance/maintenance ($1700 per year), and 16 paid holidays.

Must have minimum of three years full-time police experience, be currently employed as a police officer or laid off from such a position within the past year, O.P.O.T.A. certification and valid driver’s license.  Physical agility testing through Cuyahoga Community College is mandatory and at applicants’ expense.

The Euclid Police Department offers a number of career opportunities that include patrol, detectives, narcotics & vice unit, regional tactical team assignment, K-9 unit, task force assignments, traffic division, and community policing.

Application packets are available at the City Hall lobby, 585 East 222 Street, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the Euclid Police Department, 545 East 222 Street (24 hours a day) beginning on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 9:00am.  The application can also be downloaded from the Euclid Police website at www.euclidpd.org. 

Applications may be submitted beginning on Monday, March 11, 2019, at 8:00am, and must be received at the Euclid police station by Friday, March 22, 2019, at 4:00pm.
