Activities

The various listing below, along with monthly birthdays at the Lakefront Community Center make up most of the social activities offered to seniors in our area. There are special holiday functions that may not be mentioned and not all activities are year round. Call 216-289-2985 for more information.

Craft Class - participants meet to make Holiday favors for lunch participants as well as Home Bound Seniors. Wed. Mornings @ 9:30 am

Bingo - Wednesdays and Fridays @ 1:00 pm

Billiards - Open Pool Playing daily.  Pool Tournament 3rd Friday of each month.  Sign up is required for Tournament.  Fee- $1.00

Bowling (Palisades) - The seniors Bowling League meets Mondays - 1:00 pm

Cards - Bridge, Rummy and Pinochle are played Wednesdays @ 1:00 pm.  Pinochle Tournaments played Fridays 1:00 pm

Crochet & Knitting - Ladies meet Tuesday Mornings @ 10:00 am

Line Dance - Wednesday & Thursday afternoons @ 1:00 pm

Ballroom Dancing - Held Tuesday afternoons @ 1:30 pm

Healthy for Life/Exercise - A variety of Speakers meet with seniors to discuss various health and wellness issues.  Two fitness programs staffed by volunteers follows. Wednesdays @ 10:00 am

Yoga - meets Mondays 10:00 am

Tai-Chi - Tuesdays 3:30-4:45 pm. (Gentle exercise) Fee paid to instructor.

Ladies Sewing Circle - For Nursing Homes is comprised of a group of ladies who make lap robes, capes, slippers, and wheelchair bags for various area nursing homes.

Computer Instruction - Tuesdays 1:00 pm.  Sign up is required.  Call the Senior center @ 289-2985

Open Computer - Monday & Wednesday afternoons 1:00 pm. 

Podiatrist - Wednesday & Friday Call the Senior Center to make an appt. date & time. 289-2985 Fee paid to Doctor.

PAD (Peripheral Artery Disease) Appt. - Wednesday morning.  Call the Senior Center for appt. dates & time. 289-2985

Blood Pressure Check – Thursdays - 10:00 am

Glucose Testing - 4th Tuesday of each month, 10:30 am

Vision Loss Support Group - 4th Monday of each month, 10:30 am.

Bible Study – Tuesdays 10:00 am.

Trips – Day Trips are scheduled monthly.  They are advertized one month prior to trip in the Lakeline (monthly newsletter)  Newsletters are available at the Senior Center, City Hall and the Euclid Library.  For more information call the Activity Coordinator @ 289-2985.

Gift Shoppe is open to the public during working hours. Shoppe is staffed by volunteers under the direction of the Center's Activities Coordinator. The Shoppe runs on a consignment basis with seniors contributing to the Shoppe by providing quality handmade items.
