Activities
Various activities listed below along with monthly birthdays at the Center make up much of the socialization offered seniors in our area. Different holidays produce different functions other than the ones mentioned and not all activities are year round.
Art Classes in watercolor and other media. Fee is charged and paid directly to the instructor.
Bingo is played at the Center.
Bowling (Palisades) The seniors Bowling League meets Mondays - 1:00 p.m.
Ladies Sewing Circle for Nursing Homes is comprised of a group of ladies who make lap robes, capes, slippers, and wheelchair bags for various area nursing homes.
Cards - Bridge, Whist and Pinochle are played at the Center. Pinochle tournaments are held twice a month.
Crochet & Knitting - Ladies meet once a week.
Line Dancing is held once a week and the fee is paid directly to the instructor.
Ballroom Dancing is held once a week.
Senior Dances are held every fourth Thursday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. with live music, 50/50 raffle and refreshments.
Gift Shoppe is open to the public during working hours. Shoppe is staffed by volunteers under the direction of the Center's Activities Coordinator. The Shoppe runs on a consignment basis with seniors contributing to the Shoppe by providing quality handmade items.
Healthy for Life/Exercise - Nurses meet with seniors to discuss various health and wellness issues. A fitness program staffed by volunteers follows.
Quilting meets on Mondays - 10:00 a.m.
Senior Band meets on Mondays, always looking for additional members.
Tai Chi Exercise Class held in the dining room every Friday from 9:15 - 10:45 a.m. Fee paid to instructor. (Gentle exercise)
Trips - Travel Club meeting periodically. Twelve One Day trips are scheduled per year, one each month. Travel Brochures are available at Euclid Public Library, City Hall and the Center. For information contact Activities Coordinator.
