New 1 Million Dollar Construction Project to Add New Spaces

Cleveland Clinic announced Thursday, 10/19 in an official press release that they will soon begin construction to expand outpatient services at their Euclid Hospital campus. The new project, totaling over $1 million dollars, will allow the addition of 16 new exam rooms and 2 new procedural suites in the “R Building” on the North side of Euclid Hospital.

This latest expansion by Cleveland Clinic is just one of many investments made towards improving the Euclid Hospital campus over the past few years. In 2019, the second floor of the R Building was renovated in a $3.3million dollar project adding a state-of-the-art 16-bed inpatient unit for senior behavioral health. This new addition allowed Euclid Hospital to provide a full spectrum of geriatric care services to meet the needs of older adults.

“Our Goal is to provide care to more patients within our communities” said Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital president Teresa Dews, M.D. These new exam rooms and procedural sites will add space for more patients to the currently 166-bed hospital, best known for being one of the region’s leading outpatient rehabilitation and orthopedic centers.

“Congratulations to Euclid Hospital” said Euclid Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer Gail.“Thank you to Cleveland Clinic for their continued investment in our local hospital and for providing critical healthcare programs to meet the needs of our community. We are grateful for their partnership and longtime commitment to Euclid!”

Construction is scheduled to begin in November, with an estimated completion date in January of 2022.
