These grants will be instrumental in advancing the city's sustainability efforts and reducing energy consumption.

Euclid, Ohio - The City of Euclid is thrilled to announce that it has been selected to receive not one, but two grants from the Energy Efficiency Program for Ohio Communities (EEPOC) Grant Program. These grants, totaling $500,000, will be instrumental in advancing the city's sustainability efforts and reducing energy consumption.

The first grant, amounting to $250,000, will be allocated towards lighting and Direct Digital Controls upgrades within the city. This project is expected to result in an impressive 90.5% in utility savings, showcasing Euclid's commitment to energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The implementation of state-of-the-art lighting technologies will not only enhance visibility and safety for residents but also contribute to a greener environment.

In addition, the City of Euclid will receive a second grant of $250,000 specifically designated for lighting retrofits. With a projected savings of 67.5%, this initiative will further bolster Euclid's position as a leader in sustainable practices. By upgrading outdated lighting systems to more energy-efficient alternatives, the city is actively reducing our carbon footprint, a move towards our Master Plan goal of achieving a 30% reduction in emissions by 2030.

Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer Gail expressed her gratitude for the grants, stating, "These investments in energy efficiency will not only benefit our city financially but also environmentally. We are proud to be at the forefront of sustainable development and look forward to the positive impact these projects will have on our facilities."

The City of Euclid is dedicated to creating a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future for its residents. Through the support of the EEPOC Grant Program, Euclid is taking significant strides towards achieving its energy efficiency goals. With these grants, Euclid is poised to make a lasting impact on both the local community and the environment at large.

Participate in the Euclid Ave. Neighborhood Signage Survey! We have an exciting opportunity for you to help shape the future of our community's visual landscape. The City of Euclid is planning to install new gateway and neighborhood signage at the corner of Euclid Avenue and Upper Valley Drive, and we want your input! Why Your Feedback Matters This is more than just signage; it's a chance to express our community's unique identity and charm. Your thoughts and ideas are invaluable as they will guide the design process, ensuring that the final result reflects the spirit and character of Euclid. By participating in this survey, you can help decide on elements such as the inspiration behind the design, the materials we should use, and how the construction should be approached. An in-person public meeting on this topic was held on Thursday, August 28th. We engaged with the community to understand their vision and aspirations for this new signage. Now, it's your turn to weigh in! The survey offers you the chance to answer the same questions that were presented at the in-person meeting and provide your feedback. Take the Survey We're inviting all Euclid residents to take a few minutes to complete a short survey. This is your chance to have a direct impact on the look and feel of our community. Your feedback will help us create signage that not only welcomes visitors but also instils a sense of pride in all of us who call Euclid home. How to Participate Participating is easy! Simply click the link below to be directed to the Euclid Ave. Neighborhood Signage Survey and share your thoughts. Your input will be instrumental in the early stages of planning and design, setting the stage for a project that truly resonates with our community. THE SURVEY CLOSES SEPTEMBER 30TH. Questions? If you have any questions about the project or the survey, please feel free to reach out to Planning and Development Director Patrick Grogan-Myers at (216) 289-8160 or pgrogan-myers@cityofeuclid.com. Thank you for being an active part of our community and for helping us beautify and enhance the entrance to our neighborhood.
