Super Storm of 1993 - Share Your Stories and Photos!

June 19, 2023

Do you remember the Super Storm of July 28th, 1993? If so, the National Weather Service is looking for your story!

On July 28th, 1993 a devastating wind storm hit Northeast Ohio with gusts of wind reaching over 100 mph. Of the many cities in three counties the storm affected, Euclid was hit the hardest, resulting in the loss of 30,000 trees, causing over $15mil in damage, and toppling the 10-ton Veterans Memorial outside of Euclid Public Library.

In honor of the upcoming 30th anniversary of "The Storm", the National Weather Service would like to collect some first-hand accounts from Euclid residents to be featured on their website. If you have any photos of damage from 1993, or have memories of the event you would like to share, please fill out the form below. All information collected will be forwarded to the National Weather Service for their project.
